Slate’s CT3 pack adds even more sonic flexibility to the VMS Virtual Microphone System platform. Among the hitters included, FG-37A is a vintage Japanese tube microphone emulation perfect for piano and overhead tasks; FG-44 is a hybrid tube-powered ribbon mike for adding rich harmonics to any source; FG-47 MKII is a classic 47-homage that plays brilliantly with high impact sources such as guitar cabinets; FG-67 MKII is a dark and highly authentic emulation of a well known German workhorse microphone, and finally the FG-49 – arguably the most famous emulated model of the bunch – offers robust mids and airy highs, a perfect partner to brass, room applications and choral recording.
