SPL MTC Mk2 Stereo Monitor & Talkback Controller
MTC Mk2 is an advanced studio monitor and talkback controller solution offering multiple improvements over SPL’s widely revered Mk1 model.
Features
- Advanced source/speaker selection
- Multiple monitoring modes
- Integrated premium talkback system
- Phonitor Matrix powered headphone amps
- Additional input for a dedicated artist mix
- +/-18V internal audio operating voltage
Each of the MTC Mk2’s three stereo outputs or single mono output can be individually switched to create output groups and satisfy almost any studio listening configuration or preference. The single mono or ‘SUB’ output can also be used to connect a mono block reference speaker such as a MixCube for comparative mixing purposes.
Along with standard stereo, mono and phase reversed listening modes, the second generation MTC also features its own LR SWAP mode. This setting switches the left and right channels providing a particularly easy tool for users working with sound design or film audio where direction of movement may need to be altered.
The MTC Mk2’s powerful headphone outputs now feature SPL’s renowned Phonitor Matrix technology offering a unique crossfade environment for mix engineers.
When working with headphones, the angle of left and right projection can be virtually adjusted to recreate the same effect as when working with monitor speakers. This ensures that mixes completed on headphones can be fully translatable when moved between both portable and permanent listening systems.
